Muchinga Formation Brigadier General, Nathan Chiselwa has called for enhanced peace and security in the province and country at large.
Brig. Gen Chiselwa has further advised the Muchinga Formation to remain disciplined and professional in the execution of duties as these two elements are characteristics of the Zambia Army.
He made the remarks during the 2024 Muchinga Formation Annual Ball for Zambia Army held at Jesims Lodge over the weekend in Chinsali District in Muchinga Province.
Brig. General Chiselwa has commended the Army for working hard during the year 2024 despite logistical challenges the formation is faced with.
“I would like to commend Muchinga formation for fulfilling all the tasks assigned to it by command,” he said.
Brig. General Chiselwa has since advised Muchinga formation to keep on working hard even in the coming year.
However, the Brigadier General has advised the Men and Women in uniform to venture into agriculture this rainy season in order to boost household food security.
Meanwhile, Acting President of the Mess Committee, Christopher Chalwe said the year 2024 has been an exceptional year for Muchinga Formation.
Warrant Officer Class One. Chalwe said the Formation has achieved this milestone ranging from the military achievement to academic success.
Warrant Officer Class One Chalwe noted that the 2024 Muchinga Formation Annual Ball is an important day for the Army to acknowledge the hard work and dedication of the men and women in uniform.
“We are grateful to the command and our respective spouses who have worked tirelessly to make us who we are today,” he said.
He implored on all to embrace the spirit of celebration, togetherness and unit and continue working hard.
