History was made yesterday as Lusaka Province became part of the Nc’wala traditional ceremony of the Ngoni people of Eastern Province which one of the biggest and widely celebrated cultural event.

In pictures is Paramount Chief Mpezeni, Ngoni worriers and spectators who made Luangwa alive yesterday during and after crossing the Zambezi River from the Zimbabwean side to Zambia, reminiscing the time when King Zwangendaba of the Ngoni fled Southern Africa from Shaka via Zimbabwe across the Zambezi River into present day Zambia at Feira in Luangwa just near the confluence of the Luangwa and Zambezi rivers on November 19, 1835.

And the Lusaka Provincial administration through Permanent Secretary Robert Kamalata said it is ready to sustain the event every year as it brings cross-cutting benefits to the province.
