Lusaka Province Minister, Sheal Mulyata, has eulogised the late Chilanga District Commissioner, David Sheleni, who died on March 14, 2025.
Speaking when she visited the funeral house in Chilanga district, Ms Mulyata described late Sheleni as a humble leader who served the district with dignity.
Ms Mulyata said the late DC was committed to his work and always available whenever called upon.
“He was a very humble leader, always committed to his duties and ready to serve the district,” Ms Mulyata said.
She also encouraged the family to mourn the late Sheleni in a dignified and honorable manner.
“I was saddened by the news of the death of the Chilanga District Commissioner. I received the news of his death at the National Youth Indaba, and immediately informed the President, so he is aware of Mr Sheleni’s death,” Ms Mulyata said.
Mr Sheleni died in the early hours of March 14,2025 at his house following an illness.
The late Sheleni was appointed Chilanga DC in November 2021, the position he served until his death.
