Chilanga Town Council has encouraged residents including business owners, and Heads of Government Departments as well as civic leaders to participate in the Keep Chilanga Clean, Green and Healthy exercise.
Chilanga Town Council Secretary Francis Ndola says residents can participate by cleaning their immediate surroundings during the scheduled time which will be on Friday, 4th July, 2025.
He said this in a public notice available to ZANIS in Chilanga District.
Mr. Ndola explained that the Keep Chilanga Clean, Green and Health exercise is conducted every Friday from 07 hours to 09 hours.
“Please note that this notice has been shared in advance to allow you ample time to plan and prepare for the activity. Your cooperation and active participation are key to the success of this community effort’’, he stated.
The Keep Zambia Clean, Green and Healthy campaign is important because it promotes environmental sustainability, public health, and community engagement.
It aims to improve the overall well-being of Zambians by encouraging responsible waste management, preventing disease outbreaks, and fostering a sense of pride in maintaining a clean and healthy environment.
