The Department of Transport and Logistics was created in September, 2021 following the realignment of the mandate and functions of the Ministry of Transport and Communications. The Ministry draws its mandate from Government Gazette Notice No.1123 of 2021 and is mandated to coordinate the development, policy and regulation of the transport and logistics sector.
